When a new concept comes along and drastically changes things from how they normally work, it can be a little confusing. And unfortunately, that’s just what we’ve done at Kersten’s Antiques—we took the typical way you buy, sell and appraise antiques and injected it with some technology.
Here’s a handy question and answer guide on what to expect and how to buy, sell and get items appraised using the Kersten’s Antiques website.
Do you have to buy a package to buy items in the store?
We get asked this question frequently. And the simple answer is no. You do not have to buy a package to purchase something off our website. So if there is an item you like, simply click the contact seller button or checkout using PayPal.
How do I sell antiques on your website?
That’s a good question. When it comes to selling items on Kersten’s Antiques, the steps are straightforward. The first thing you need to do is purchase a “For Sale” package. This package gives you access to unlimited “For Sale” posts for either one, three or six month increments at a time. And the best part is, after you purchase the package, there are no more fees!
Access to selling items also grants you the ability to message other people on the site, share your item across all social media outlets and you also get access to a Kersten’s Antiques Specialist who is there to help you if the need arises. You’ll also receive advertising of your item and it may even get featured on our Facebook page. Make sure you follow us to see if your item gets picked.
How do I get my antiques appraised?
Appraising antiques is the core of our business. And we take great pride in having some of the best appraisers available in our comprehensive database.
When you purchase an appraisal package, that gives you access to our curated collection of specialty appraisers from all over the country. And it gives you access to our For Sale section as well. You’ll also be able to read and write reviews and set up your user profile. These packages are available in one, three and six month as well as one-year increments.
We take the uncertainty out of finding a certified, experienced and trustworthy appraiser. Access to our database is just the starting point. From there, you’ll need to reach out to one of the appraisers and get in contact with them. The two of you will discuss the going rates for appraisals and what steps are necessary to proceed.
We hope this guide helps you when it comes to doing business with Kersten’s Antiques. And if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please let us know. We are here to help. Send us an email at [email protected] or reach out to us on Facebook.
